Favoured of Lady Freyja
Cassie and her stepbrother, Connor, lived with their stepmother on the outskirts of London. Infectiously rambunctious, she was always bouncing from friend to friend, while helping with the dogs her stepmother bred for show. It was her natural tendency to always know the right thing to say to make her friends smile that made her so well-liked. That was until her favouring found her, and she accidentally caused a stampede on all of the local music stores in a three-mile radius when her favorite band’s album was released.
Confused, and craving about a hundred of her stepmother’s cucumber sandwiches, she had returned home to find the Prelate with Connor. Kissing their stepmother goodbye while she slept in an enchanted sleep, Cassie and Connor came to Asgard, ready to find their place in this new world. Cassie instantly loved all of the bright, colorful creatures and flowers, and was thankful Connor had been there to anchor her when she felt overwhelmed.
The Aesir and Einherjar found her bright and bubbly personality refreshing, and Cassie was soon one of the favorite Favoured. Her benefactor, Lady Freyja, was not as easy to please. The Goddess of War and Love seemed to hate Cassie’s energetic and supernaturally positive nature.
For four years, Cassie has put up with Lady Freyja’s derision despite all of her trials and achievements, but with Amanda here, she has found new hope that she can prove herself worthy to the goddess and help Amanda as she deals with her own goddess-related issues - as long as she doesn’t have to deal with anything in a cave or bats.
